When I try to play a video file, the screen is blank. The connections are all correct and the disk is playing, but there is no video. It is quite possible the video button was pressed by accident. Just press the video button and the video function will return.
Should “out of synch” symptoms occur, use the following solution. DivX and Xvid Video files encoded using VBR (variable bit rate) may result in the audio and video to be out of synch during playback on some consumer players. It is best to use CBR (constant bit rate) when encoding. Should “out of synch” symptoms occur, the following solution should be used.
  1. Via the remote control, press the "FAST FORWARD" button, (>>)
  2. After a few frames pass, press the "ENTER" button, (ENTER)
  3. Audio and Video should now be in synch
  4. If not, repeat steps 1 & 2
  5. Still not in synch?
  6. Via the remote control, press the "FAST REVERSE BACKWARD" button (<<)
  7. After a few frames pass, press the "ENTER" button, (ENTER)
  8. Audio and Video should now be in synch
  9. If not, repeat steps 6 & 7
Note: This may not work on the first try, try each method at least 3 times and may not work on some files encoded with VBR.
