  1. Korean Subtitle Firmware (Optional)

  Caution: Following installation, the DXP-1000 will be limited to English and Korean Subtitles ONLY! Due to the memory required for this update, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Danish subtitle support will no longer be functional.

  IMPORTANT! READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING FIRMWARE UPGRADE! DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL ANY FIRMWARE THAT DOES NOT MATCH YOUR PLAYER'S SERIAL NUMBER! THIS ACTION WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY!

  Upgrade Instructions:

  Select the update from the list below that corresponds to the first three digits of your Player’s serial number. Caution, the files might have the same name, please select the correct one!! DO NOT CHANGE THE FILE NAME OF THE FIRMWARE!

  DO NOT SWITCH OFF THE MAIN POWER OR STOP PLAYING DURING UPGRADE; OTHERWISE THE PLAYER WILL BE DAMAGED!!

  1. Burn the upgrade file to disc
  2. Insert disc into player
  3. Close and press “PLAY”
  4. Upgrade begins (DO NOT INTERRUPT PROCESS!!!)
  5. Turn off the main power located on the rear of the player after the upgrade completes. (DISPLAY SCREEN TURNS GREY OR VERY DARK)
  6. Turn the power on and quickly remove disc from tray or UGRADE WILL REPEAT
  7. IF THE UPGRADE BEGINS AGAIN, DO NOT INTERRUPT AND REPEAT STEPS 5 AND 6
  UPGRADE COMPLETE!

  2. DXP-1000 Nero Update Program

  The DXP-1000 Player has been certified by Nero Software to support Nero Digital. This support will be included in player purchased beginning mid-January 2006. For customers with previously purchased DXP-1000 players desiring this exciting new functionality, an upgrade Program has been created by Avayon and is available as of December 15, 2005.

  For information about this program, please call 603 891-1241 Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00PM, east coast time. Alternatively, customers are invited to fill out this online request form and we will respond very quickly.

1. Burn the update file to disc
2. Insert disc into player
3. Close Disc Cover
4. Update begins (DO NOT INTERRUPT PROCESS!!!)
5. IT WILL TAKE UP TO 1 MINUTE TO LOAD FIRMWARE!
6. Display screen turns dark and shows FIRMWARE INFO!
7. Process begins after "COUNTDOWN CLOCK" reaches time "0"
8. Display screen changes colors during ugrade process
9. DISPLAY SCREEN SHOWS "REBOOT SYSTEM"
10. Player automatically reboots in 5 seconds!
11. Remove "FIRMWARE UPGRADE DISC"!
12. PLAYER AUTOMATICALLY RESTARTS WITH NEW FIRMWARE.
13. Display screen shows improved "AVAYON LOGO"
14. UPDATE COMPLETE!

DXP-10P II Firmware Update Instructions via the USB Port

1. Burn the update file to "USB FLASH DRIVE"
2. Turn on DXP-10P II
3. Press "DVD/USB" button to switch to "USB MODE"
4. Insert "USB FLASH DRIVE" to "USB PORT"
5. Update begins (DO NOT INTERRUPT PROCESS!!!)
6. IT CAN TAKE UP TO 1 MINUTE TO LOAD FIRMWARE!
7. Display screen turns dark and shows FIRMWARE INFO!
8. Process begins after "COUNTDOWN CLOCK" reaches time "0"
9. Display screen changes colors during update process
10. DISPLAY SCREEN SHOWS "REBOOT SYSTEM"
11. Player automatically reboots in 5 seconds!
12. Remove "FIRMWARE UPGRADE DISC"!
13. PLAYER AUTOMATICALLY RESTARTS WITH NEW FIRMWARE.
